Hogwarts Legacy – House Chest and Guide to All Daedal Keys

There are 16 Daedalian Keys in the Hogwarts Legacy, and they are scattered throughout the castle. Upon finding them, you’ll acquire tokens used to open a special chest, which has an amazing cosmetic reward. Starting the side quest The Daedalian Keys

To start The Daedalian Keys side quest in Hogwarts Legacy, you will need talk to a student named Nelli Oggspire. She is behind the tree in the Courtyard of Transfiguration area. Agree to help her and follow the sidequest.

Astronomy Tower and Daedal Cabinets

Follow the markers until you reach the destination. The key will go straight to a nearby classroom, where you’ll notice a curious looking locker. Interact with him to start a minigame.

The objective here is to wait for the key to go through the center of the cabinet. When this occurs, quickly press the prompt button to slap him. This will open the locker and reward you with a House Token.

Then, fast travel to your Common Room and place the token inside the Home Chest. Head back to Nellie to complete this step. From this point on, the remaining keys will no longer be marked. Daedal Keys Astronomy Wing

Courtyard of the Transfiguration – Enter the door next to the fast travel point and go up the steps. The key is floating near the Rhino skeleton screen.

Transfiguration Classroom (Staircase) – From the fast travel point, check the large wooden door on your left. Enter it to identify the switch next to the stairs. He’ll fly to the top of the stairs where you’ll find the cabinet.

Transfiguration Classroom (Dragon Statue) – This is the same chamber where you saw the key mentioned above. This time, go down the stairs. Eventually you’ll see the locker and the key is just below the landing. It’s in front of the dragon statue.

Transfiguration Classroom (Cellar) – From the dragon statue, follow the passage until you see the basements. Follow the key down to the basement with the locker.

Daedal Keys of the Grand Staircase

Grand Staircase Tower – You’ll notice the key floating in front of several portraits before you get to the tallest symbol door puzzle. Stay close to the railings until she decides to float down. It will go to the cabinet that is next to another Symbol Door Puzzle, which is also just above the Grand Staircase teleporter.

grand staircase – Go forward from the fast travel point and check the big door on your left. The key and locker are in the adjoining room that connects to the Viaduct Courtyard.

Great Hall Daedal Keys

Main Hall (Fireplace) – The key is next to the fireplace on your left. It will fly into the closet in the small alcove next to the Floo Flames.

Great Hall (Garden) – From the fast travel point, go through the large doors on your right to reach the garden. Go through the archway to find the key. It will zigzag all over the place, eventually making its way to the cabinet in the back left section. It’s near the door that leads to the September area (ie red chamber with a star).

Annex of the Daedalian Keys Library

Library – The key is between some bookshelves. The closet is near the Floo Flames.

Central Hall (Greenhouse Entrance) – Turn right at the statue. As you approach the emerald door to the Greenhouses, look left. The key will fly to the opposite side of the Central Hall towards an alcove where you’ll see a Symbol Door Puzzle.

Central Hall (Marble Steps) – Instead of walking towards the statue, go up the steps. You should see the large doors that lead to the Viaduct Courtyard. The key is behind the marble steps to your right. He’ll fly back to the main stairs you came from.

potions class – Go through the door and you will see the key in front of the classroom. It will fly up the spiral steps to the closet at the bottom.

Daedal Keys of the South Wing

Faculty Tower (Staircase) – This requires completion of The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament, the main quest that rewards you with Alohomora. It’s the only way to unlock the Faculty Tower. From the fast travel point, enter the Faculty Tower and head up the steps. The key is in front of a symbol door puzzle and will fly into the cupboard below.

College Tower (clock gears) – From the aforementioned location, continue to climb the spiral staircase until you reach the top. You should see the closet here. As for the key, go through the nearby hallway that leads to the large gears in the clock tower. The key will appear and fly back to the locker.

Clock Tower Courtyard – After spawning, unlock the gatehouse door on the left side. Continue up the steps and you’ll see the key in front of an ornate door. He will go up another set of steps where the cabinet is located.

You can also get to this area by using the hospital wing fast travel point and then climbing down the wooden scaffolding where the large clock gears are.

Opening the House Chest

Once you get all the Thimble Keys, you can open the Hogwarts Legacy House Chest. It contains a cloak of legendary quality. It is purely cosmetic in nature and used for transmogrification, but it does show your House colors and sigil.
