by Jessie J excitedly revealed the gender of her first baby ahead of walking the red carpet at the 2023 Brit Awards on Saturday.
The “Price Tag” singer took to Instagram and posted a video of her singing a cappella to an upcoming single. She wrote, “Since I wrote this song every time I play it or sing it, it moves like crazy… so I think this song is the right one.”
“Oh yeah… I’m having a boy and I promise I’ll wear panties,” the 34-year-old “Domino” artist added.
She later appeared at the London awards in a bright red two-piece set that perfectly exposed her baby bump.
The singer, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, completed the look in a bright red fur coat, a pair of pumps and gloves, her hair styled in a bun. She showcased her fabulous mom-to-be red carpet style in another video she posted to Instagram on Sunday.
The video showed the voice actress for “Ice Age: Collision Course” boldly posing for the cameras on the red carpet.
“The last time I walked this red carpet was 10 years ago. MAD. They… ‘Can we take a profile picture?’ I… ‘From what?’ Missed ‘JESSSAY JESSAAAAAAaaay like that… JESSAAY’ 😂 @brits thanks for having me,” she wrote.
The “Nobody’s Perfect” singer also took to her Instagram stories and posted more behind-the-scenes happenings at the awards ceremony, including one where she can be seen buttering bread. She wrote, “While everyone else was mingling, I stole baskets of bread from other tables and churned sparkling water.”
She also posted a moment where Harry Styles took the stage and moved the audience with his live performance of “As It Was”.
“@Harrystyles is an amazing artist and took the time to come to me after winning two awards to congratulate me. What a gentleman. So happy for you,” Jessie wrote. In fact, Styles won four categories at this year’s Brit Awards: Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year and Pop/R&B.
Jessie’s gender reveal comes a month after her emotional announcement that she’s expecting a rainbow baby following her 2021 miscarriage.
“So happy and terrified to finally share this,” Jessie captioned an emotional video in January showing her pregnancy test kit, her ultrasound and photos of her proudly showing off her pregnant belly. It also included a short clip showing her rocking an imaginary baby.
