Retired Call of Duty legend Seth ‘Scump’ Abner criticized the Seattle Surge for “f**king” OpTic Texas over their move to Pred, a CDL transfer that never happened.
The OpTic Texas CDL list has been at the center of mystery and big news lately. First, we saw an ambitious move for Seattle Surge’s Pred fail to capitalize, with H3CZ claiming the organization was “pulled” by the Washington team.
The initial move was to replace Dashy, who was released after the CDL Major 1. However, Scump then brought his retirement forward, paving the way for Dashy to return and Huke to join Greenwall as well.

OpTic has since placed fourth at the CDL Major 2 and subsequently dropped iLLeY, whose future remains unknown. He was replaced by CDL Challengers star Ghosty with the new OpTic Texas roster set to debut in the Major 3 Qualifiers.
Scump has already revealed that he was “shocked” by iLLeY’s removal and, in a live stream on Feb. 10 discussing their possible fates, he blasted the Seattle Surge yet again.
Scump Claims Seattle Surge “Fucked” OpTic Texas
Explaining that he didn’t think iLeY was likely to move to Seattle as a result of the organizations’ bad relationship, he claimed that the Surge “fucked” OpTic Texas “colossally”.

“I think the Surge could have happened (for iLLeY) if the Surge hadn’t completely fucked us up,” he said. “In the initial agreement. Because they fucked with us. In a straight line. They fucked with us.

Asked by the recently retired Methodz if pride was enough to stop the move, Scump responded, “They (OpTic Texas) wouldn’t let that get in the way. They wouldn’t be stingy about it. Considering Surge, I mean colossally, let’s not put this lightly. They fucked with us… We went out to dinner, we paid, they fucked with us.”
It certainly goes along with H3CZ’s version of events, which also criticized how the Surge handled OpTic’s interest in Pred. He previously said that OpTic hit Surge’s asking price three times before Seattle called off the move.

Seattle refutes OpTic’s side of the story, but wherever the truth lies, the acrimony between the two organizations is impossible to ignore.
CDL Major 3 Qualifiers will start on February 17th.
